DriverPlan is the brainchild of financial broker Stuart Allen, from Weston-super-Mare, who had a ‘Victor Kiam’ moment before launching the company in 2003:

"I was crossing the road when a tendon snapped in my leg. Not only was it agony, but I couldn’t drive for more than eight months, which put considerable strain on friends and family ferrying me around. I also realised that using public transport was almost impossible when trying to get to meetings around the country."

When he heard about an insurance that would have enabled him to hire a driver whilst he was injured Stuart launched DriverPlan motoring continuity insurance.

DriverPlan was evolved from IOMA's original policy St Christopher, which has been in existence for over three decades. Stuart Allen has developed DriverPlan to ensure it fits today's legal and lifestyle requirements of our busy lives.
